New Home

Wow this has only taken me 3 months to post. This is our new beautiful home. We are so happy here. I personally love all the room the kids have to play, the huge beams, all the mature trees, and larger property, and of course its a huge bonus having extra rooms for guests to stay in when they come. We still have work to do on it and things I would like to update or replace but it will all come in time. We plan on being here for a long time and giving the kids a place to call "home," with lots of memories.

Happy Halloween

SO I was planning on doing a Rilee 7 month update, with a picture and a Birthday boy update, but I went into my pictures to upload everything and remembered that I just had my hard drive put on an external hard drive and now there is no pictures :( Anyways I will update with these few pictures I took yesterday.

Carson had a wonderful Birthday. It was a busy fun filled weekend with lots of family and friends. I think he is finally getting to the age where he knows whats going on, gets excited for it, and enjoys participating. I can hardly wait for Christmas :) Carson wanted a choo choo train birthday, so that just what he got. I wish I had the pictures cause this cake seriously took me 3 hours to decorate if not a little more. It was well worth it. He loved it. He could stop getting on the counter to look at it and tell me how well I did. I wont know Carson's stats will his apt in Jan....ya Jan. that's how far booked out they are, wow, but when he went in a few weeks ago when he had a double ear infection he was 37 lbs and last time Brison and I measured him he was 43 inches.

This speaks for his personality :)

Rilee is doing great. She has had her 2 bottom teeth pop through already. Carson didn't get his 1st one till 8 months old. She is trying so hard to crawl. I can prop her up and she will move her hands while I do her feet but that's about it. She can go from the sitting position to the crawling position and back to sitting. She also has this funny little hop/scoot. Its hilarius to watch, but it gets her to where she needs to go. Everything else is still pretty much the same...still sleeps through the night, loves to feed herself, pretty laid back but definitely has a temper when she is not getting what she wants when she wants, still has that ear piercing squeal that she uses when she is on her tummy or in the car seat(she hates both of those things) Other than that we are looking forward to this weekend (Halloween) and the upcoming holidays :)

Our new toy all finished

For those of you who don't know, Brison bought a burnt jeep about 6 months ago with plans of totally restoring it and making it our new family toy. There were many times throughout this process where Brison had his doubts of it ever running. Yesterday was the 1st day we took it out and put it to the test. We trailered it out to 21 road and took it through one of Colorado's top rated trails for being the most vicious I would have to say it did very well. The only thing that had an issue was the power steering line breaking and we lost all our fluid. Carson absolutely loved it. Anytime Brison would go any bit fast he would just start laughing hysterically. Rilee was that big of a fan only because she was buckled up in her car seat for an extended amount of time and she hates her car seat.

After (YAY)

Killer deals :)

I'm a sucker for free things. If I see something on the side of the road by golly Ill pick it up. For a couple of weeks I had been driving past this house that had a playhouse/swing set that was knocked over in these peoples yard, so of course when Brison was with me I said "you should just go and knock on their door and see if they want to sell it." I cant express how much Brison hates to do this kind of stuff. His theory is that if he can afford it then he'll buy it. So he looks at me with a face of " are you serious." I told him, "just do it, its not a big deal." So he goes up to the door and asks the man " hey, do you want me to take that off your hands" and what does the man say? "Yes, I would love you to." Brison offered him $50 and he took it. Carson and I were so dang excited. Then today I was on a walk with the kids and sitting on the curb was a ton of toys, so I knocked on the ladies door and asked her if she was throwing it out and she said yep, so I ran home, cause I didn't want someone else to stop and get it, got the truck and headed back. Makes for a good start to the day. Some other things I have picked up are little tykes jungle climbing gym for outside, slide, bike, pool, kids car with wheels ect... I know its not for everyone but its something I cant pass up.

Here is the playhouse we got for $50

The rest of this stuff is the things I picked up today

We go to storytime every week and carson loves these same trains that they have there. He was so excited when he found them in the bag of stuff

Oh ya and everything that talks, moves or makes noise works :)

Rilee 6 months

Wow I cant believe how fast 6 months have flown by. Rilee is such a blessing and we just love her to death. 1 week ago today we went and got her ears pierced. I have been trying to talk Brison into getting it done for a while now and all he would say is "NO." I really thought it was not going to happen, but I guess a little talking from a good friend of the family (Jim), and wala he agrees to it. Not sure what kind of influence Jim has over Brison but he needs to teach me lol. Anyways she did really good. Im not sure if she cried cause it hurt or for the fact that i had to hold her head to my chest and pin her arm down so she couldnt move. She hates being restrained. She has done great with them. I really havent gotten a good picture of them yet, but you can kinda see them in this one. Brison is insisting on buying her diamond earings, so im sure it wont be long before she gets some.

Some things about Rilee:

-Loves to feed herself
-Plays with her hair while trying to fall asleep (just like her Mommy)
-Rocks from the sitting position to the crawling position but then face plants cause her arms are not strong enough to hold her up.
-Got her 1st cold 3 weeks ago *dislike*
-Reaches for everything insight and is quick too
-Immediately rolls to her back when I put her on her tummy (little stinker)
-Still has her extremely high pitched squeal. I wish I could get it on video cause there is no way to explain it you just have to hear it.
-Gets mad at me when I'm eating something and wont share
-Still a very happy baby
-Still sleeping through the night
-Wearing 6-12 month cloths
-Loves chewing on her toes
-Went on her 1st plane ride/vacation and did great (5 months and 2 days old)

Colorful Sunday is a week away from today. We will be spending that weekend up on the Mesa for Brison's Birthday and also helping rebuild a cabin, so Im hoping to get some beautiful fall colored pics of us all at that time. :)

Summer 2010

I was cooking dinner one night so I put her in her seat on the table. The next thing I knew she had gotten a hold of a tamato out of a basket sitting next to her and went to town on it. She loved it so much that when I tried to pull a piece of skin out of her mouth she got very mad at me. Probably not on the list of "ok foods" for a 5 month old, but oh well.

Carson loved this horse so much when he was her age that he used to fall asleep in it. Rilee, she hates it. Im lucky to get a few minutes of her in it and thats with me sitting infront of her talking to her. Little stinker.

Rilee's first ride in the truck. She loved it. I tried to get Carson to stay in the low gear (2.5 mph), but you know him FAST FAST FAST (5 mph).

They love taking baths together

Messy eater and this was just a cookie. She is much cleaner of an eater now.

Kinda scary, but Carson wants to hold anything and everything that moves.

She was just playing with toys and fell asleep. Too sweet.

Labor Day weekend

We had a wonderful weekend. Saturday night we went bowling with Travis, Trista, and the Keelings (so mad my camera battery was dead), Sunday we went to Rifle gap (with the same group of people). We had plans of hicking the falls but their capasity was full. We were pretty bummed but it was WAY windy so probably for the better, Then on Monday we spent the whole day at the Keelings splitting wood, buckin' hay, grilling some burgers, and relaying irrigation pipe back in the fields. Doesnt sound like much of a fun day, but we love it. The kids play hard.

The load and our new truck

This makes me laugh. Brison wanted the hay off him but didnt want to go home and shower. We only live about 5 blocks away. :)

Little Brook had had enough. All tuckered out

Just got done splitting wood and were headed up to the house
