Jen's 30th Birthday

Jen turned 30 on the 14th of November. Mom and I had plans of going up to Utah and joining her but because of weather conditions we were not able to, so last night we threw her a Birthday party. We had corn beef (one of her favorites), snowball coconut cream cake, and presents. I bought her 2 seamless backdrops and Mom and Dad went in together and got her a flash for her camera. With all her new photography items hopefully she will head home and start practicing with them and that they treat her well.

22 week baby update

Today I had a routine doctors appointment for the baby and I. I am measuring right on at 22 weeks and her heartbeat was 140. I have been able to feel her kick for the past few weeks, but not very much. I really have to concentrate and get in the right position. I asked my mid wife about it and she said it is because I have what you call placenta previa. It is where the placenta lays in the lower part of the womb covering the uterus. I had the same thing with Carson and it ended up moving away from the cervix by the time I reached 32 weeks and I assume the same will happen this time. So to make sure everything is ok for a normal birth, they will do another ultra sound in a few months to make sure it has moved. If it has not they will schedule a c-section. The percentage of woment who have placenta previa all the way up until delivery is very low, so I’m not to worried about it. Other than that is has been a healthy and happy 22 weeks of pregnancy. I will be adding a 22 week picture as soon as I get it taken. :)

2 year old stats

Carson had his 2 year old doctors apt yesterday. Usually its not a big deal, but yesterday was a total bomb. The melt down started when we were called back to the room and Carson had to walk away from the fish tank that was in their waiting room. It just went down hill from there. I’m sure everyone has experienced a bad appointment before, but I know I don’t ever want to experience one again, what a nightmare. Anyways he checked out nice and healthy. He is 37 inches tall (94%) and weighs 35 lbs (92%), so overall he is a big growing 2 year old.

Thing he is currently doing and loving:
* Loves trucks/tractors with hitches
* Is so good at shooting baskets. He makes at least 1/5 standing a few feet back
* Love all things that are motorized or battery powered
* Loves rough housing with his Daddy
* Loves going to the park
* Loves using scissors and painting
* Uses many word to tell what he wants/needs
* Is a total hands on child
* Is potty trained (YAY)
* Naps for a good 3 hours cause he doesn’t slow down even for a second during the day
* Sleeps for about 10 hours a night.

Happy Halloween

Hope everyone has a happy and safe Halloween. We are planning on going trick or treating this evening after Brison gets off work. Carson should be nice and toasty in his little lion outfit.

Big Boys Birthday

The past 2 years have been amazing for Brison and I. We could not have imagined how much joy one little child could bring to our lives. We love Carson so much and are so blessed to have him as our son. He is such a health and active boy. Carson loves tractors, so that is exactly what he got for his birthday. A day full of lots and lots of tractors. Thank you to all who were able to join us in celebration of Carson's birthday. He has his 2 year apt. on the 11th of Nov., so I will post his stats then.

The Surprise

This past week had to have been the most difficult week for me to keep a secret. Luckly we had the joy of sharing our news with our family who lives out of state and would not be able to join us for our surprise. Our local family and friends joined us at the pumkin patch on Friday for Carson's birthday. Going to the pumpkin patch is going to be a yearly tradition for his birthday, however this time there was a little extra added to it. I had told them at the begining that there was a pumpkin out there with a message on it and it was their job to go and find the pumpkin. After about 20 minutes of looking, Ahsley was the lucky finder. Following the pumkpin patch was an wonderful evening of chili, compliments of my Papa, and pumpkin carving. Enjoy.

We are having a GIRL

Brison, Carson and I went to my 18 week appointment this past Monday the 19th where we found out we were going to be adding a little girl to our family. We could not be any happier with the result. She is measuring a bit bigger than where I am, but everything looks great as far as heart, bones, head, fingers and toes.
