Love the Fresh Warm Air

Today was the first really warm day where we could get out and enjoy the sun for longet than a half hour or so. We started off by going on a walk, taking Bailey to the park so Carson could walk her, then ended with Shaylee and Brandy joining us in the back yard to play. What a great day and to top it off, one of my best friends got to hear her babys heart beat for the first time and my other friend had her baby (4 weeks early), but healthy and beautiful. So exciting!!!!

A new best friend

These deer have made my dad their new best friend. This is his driveway, in Craig, and they come to visit him every evening, when he gets off work, for some dinner. My dad goes to the local feed lot and gets grain for these little guys. They will actually walk right past my dad and up to his garage door, so they must love it. They wait for his truck to pull up, then out they come one by one for their treat. How amazing it is that he gets to experience this daily.

Click on the picture, so it blows it up, cause it is actually amazing how beautiful they are up close.

Shaylee Spaid

Here are some pictures that I took today, for my friend brandy, of her beautiful daughter Shaylee. She is almost 9 months and so photogenic. However, as you all know, Jen always helps me out and puts her special touch on the pictures after I take them, so I took them in color, sent them to her and she is actually the one who turned a few of them to black and white. I just love them and think they are so sweat.

Carson 15 Months

Saturday, February 7, 2009

Our Big Boy

Carson had his 15 month check up last week. He is 33 inches tall, 28 pounds, and 93%for his age. That means that there is only 7% of babies his age that are larger than him. He is gaining and growing a pound and inch every month, that explains why he gets so cranky every one in a while. We sure do love him though.

What a goof

He loves to go to the park

Sun was too bright for him

Potty Training

I have started the potty training process. I am not pushing it too hard, I am just getting him prepared. So in all reality, he sits on the potty about 4 times a day. He does very well though. I a day, I can get him to go at least once. He is still young and it is hard for me to know when he has to go cause he cant tell me, so we are working on the sign language for potty so he can at least tell me that way. Oh ya, I found that putting him backwards is by far the easiest way to do it with a boy. This way him toilet hole sit much larger and him legs have room to spread apart, as where when I was facing him forward the toilet seat narrows and caused his legs to squeeze together. It also occupies him a lot longer cause he can read a book or play with the toys in the basket.

Wiping :)

Cousin time

Carson had the joy of spending a few days with his cousins from Craig. He just loved following them around and joining in on their games, They were so kind and included him willingly.

Just in case some of you do not know, my child DOES NOT sit still, so for him to be in the chair with Addie was rare and special. He sat with her and did not move for like a half hour.

My crafty projects

I had this lovely table and chairs given to me by a friend who was trying to find a good home for it, so I took it. I noticed though that the seats, being pressed wood, were really slippery when Carson climbed on them, so I decided to cover them, then, as I was covering them I thought how fun would it be if I turned the top into a chalkboard, so I did just that. Carson loves his table and chairs and spends a lot of his day playing with it. As you can see, he does not always use them in the most appropriate way. He truly is a little monkey, that is why you will notice foam tiles under the table so he has sort of a soft landing for when he falls.

I do have another project that I am working on, but it has turned out to be a lot harder than I imagined. My friend Brandy and I decided to make slip covers for two children chairs. Sounds easy...not so much. I will post pics when we finish. Wish us luck.

Being unsafe, like always

This is the face he makes when you say "say cheese" not a good thing to teach a child when their cheese looks like this. Too funny

It's been a while

So as most of you have know I have been without a computer for over a month, errrr. I finally got one back, but it is not my original one. Yes it is nice having a brand new computer, but I am also dealing with trying to get my old one back, just long enough, to pull all my pictures off cause it was not backed up before they sent it away. What a process. So anyways not much new here. Brison is still working as hard as he can while Carson and I work on good behavior and potty training, both of which are a challenge. lol He is a good boy, he is just stubborn as can be and likes to throw fits when I don't allow him to do something. However, on a good note, we go on play dates and to bible study weekly, which he loves. He has plenty of friends to play with during these times. Hope all is well with everyone else.
