Rilee 6 months

Wow I cant believe how fast 6 months have flown by. Rilee is such a blessing and we just love her to death. 1 week ago today we went and got her ears pierced. I have been trying to talk Brison into getting it done for a while now and all he would say is "NO." I really thought it was not going to happen, but I guess a little talking from a good friend of the family (Jim), and wala he agrees to it. Not sure what kind of influence Jim has over Brison but he needs to teach me lol. Anyways she did really good. Im not sure if she cried cause it hurt or for the fact that i had to hold her head to my chest and pin her arm down so she couldnt move. She hates being restrained. She has done great with them. I really havent gotten a good picture of them yet, but you can kinda see them in this one. Brison is insisting on buying her diamond earings, so im sure it wont be long before she gets some.

Some things about Rilee:

-Loves to feed herself
-Plays with her hair while trying to fall asleep (just like her Mommy)
-Rocks from the sitting position to the crawling position but then face plants cause her arms are not strong enough to hold her up.
-Got her 1st cold 3 weeks ago *dislike*
-Reaches for everything insight and is quick too
-Immediately rolls to her back when I put her on her tummy (little stinker)
-Still has her extremely high pitched squeal. I wish I could get it on video cause there is no way to explain it you just have to hear it.
-Gets mad at me when I'm eating something and wont share
-Still a very happy baby
-Still sleeping through the night
-Wearing 6-12 month cloths
-Loves chewing on her toes
-Went on her 1st plane ride/vacation and did great (5 months and 2 days old)

Colorful Sunday is a week away from today. We will be spending that weekend up on the Mesa for Brison's Birthday and also helping rebuild a cabin, so Im hoping to get some beautiful fall colored pics of us all at that time. :)

Summer 2010

I was cooking dinner one night so I put her in her seat on the table. The next thing I knew she had gotten a hold of a tamato out of a basket sitting next to her and went to town on it. She loved it so much that when I tried to pull a piece of skin out of her mouth she got very mad at me. Probably not on the list of "ok foods" for a 5 month old, but oh well.

Carson loved this horse so much when he was her age that he used to fall asleep in it. Rilee, she hates it. Im lucky to get a few minutes of her in it and thats with me sitting infront of her talking to her. Little stinker.

Rilee's first ride in the truck. She loved it. I tried to get Carson to stay in the low gear (2.5 mph), but you know him FAST FAST FAST (5 mph).

They love taking baths together

Messy eater and this was just a cookie. She is much cleaner of an eater now.

Kinda scary, but Carson wants to hold anything and everything that moves.

She was just playing with toys and fell asleep. Too sweet.

Labor Day weekend

We had a wonderful weekend. Saturday night we went bowling with Travis, Trista, and the Keelings (so mad my camera battery was dead), Sunday we went to Rifle gap (with the same group of people). We had plans of hicking the falls but their capasity was full. We were pretty bummed but it was WAY windy so probably for the better, Then on Monday we spent the whole day at the Keelings splitting wood, buckin' hay, grilling some burgers, and relaying irrigation pipe back in the fields. Doesnt sound like much of a fun day, but we love it. The kids play hard.

The load and our new truck

This makes me laugh. Brison wanted the hay off him but didnt want to go home and shower. We only live about 5 blocks away. :)

Little Brook had had enough. All tuckered out

Just got done splitting wood and were headed up to the house
