Yay it's Snowing

I just love the snow and what better time of the year to get it than a few days before Christmas.

Trying to get pictures of 3 kids is close to impossible but here is our shot at it.

Holiday Messes

Carson just loves to help and I dont mind the mess. I figure whatever he touches, uses, spills or breaks will always clean up or can be replaces. It seems to always make for a longer clean-up for me, but I dont mind. Ashley and her daughter brook had the joy of joining us in our sugar cookie project. We made them with a few other things for our family and friends.

Santa

We had a few Santa visits this year and this one was the only one where we could get Carson close to Santa. He was very unsure of him. I was very surprised that he even stood next to this one. As you can see in his hand are some legos which distracted him a little. He is the same way with poeple he dont know. I guess we should be thankful. :)

Cousin Time

Jen and the kids were here for the 1st three weeks in Dec. It was nice to allow the kids to spend so much time together. Eventhough they tend to fight a lot I know that Carson really adores Khy and Khorben. Now that they are gone he cant stop talking about them. It was a very busy 3 weeks with many Santa visits, craft projects, play dates, and shopping. We look forward to this time spent with them every year. It looks like poor Khorben was left out in these pictures. I guess it has to deal with his age, but he sure did get his fair share of Carson too.

Baby Appointment

We had our baby apt. on Wednesday and it went well. My glucose test came back and was within limits. I'm actually borderline low, but I already knew that. I have had issues with my blood sugar dropping ever since I had been in college. It doesn't happen all but a couple of times a month, but when it does I just make sure I have some peanut butter near to bring it back up. We had a stress test done on the baby while we were there since I still don't feel her very much. They wanted to make sure that her movement was often and that her heartbeat was rising when she was kicking. That just shows that her neurological system is working correctly. She was actually kicking like crazy. Its amazing how much I'm not feeling with the placement of my placenta. She was measuring right on @ 26 weeks. I am now at the point in my pregnancy where I start going every 2 weeks. Crazy to think we are already at that stage and we still don't have a name picked out. YIKES!!!

Growing Baby

I have been putting this picture off for a while cause I just hate the way I look when Im pregnant. I absolutley love being pregnant, feeling the baby kick, hearing the heartbeat, and all the many other experiences that come with being pregnant brings, but I just hate gaining weight. We have another appointment on Wednesday. They will be having me do that awful glucose test which test for diabetes. The drink just makes me want to gag.

Thanksgiving Day Celebration

We had a wonderful holiday celebration, at our house, with about 10 of us. This was the first year that my dad had joined us for a family holiday and it was very nice to have him around. Im not sure how I managed to not get a picture of the actual dinner and event, but I got a few pictures of the project afterwards. My mom was needing a tree cut down at her new house so my dad and Brison brought a chainsaw up there to get it cut down. Carson just loves to be part of the action, help as much as he can or Brison will let him, and of course be just like his daddy.

Jen's 30th Birthday

Jen turned 30 on the 14th of November. Mom and I had plans of going up to Utah and joining her but because of weather conditions we were not able to, so last night we threw her a Birthday party. We had corn beef (one of her favorites), snowball coconut cream cake, and presents. I bought her 2 seamless backdrops and Mom and Dad went in together and got her a flash for her camera. With all her new photography items hopefully she will head home and start practicing with them and that they treat her well.

22 week baby update

Today I had a routine doctors appointment for the baby and I. I am measuring right on at 22 weeks and her heartbeat was 140. I have been able to feel her kick for the past few weeks, but not very much. I really have to concentrate and get in the right position. I asked my mid wife about it and she said it is because I have what you call placenta previa. It is where the placenta lays in the lower part of the womb covering the uterus. I had the same thing with Carson and it ended up moving away from the cervix by the time I reached 32 weeks and I assume the same will happen this time. So to make sure everything is ok for a normal birth, they will do another ultra sound in a few months to make sure it has moved. If it has not they will schedule a c-section. The percentage of woment who have placenta previa all the way up until delivery is very low, so I’m not to worried about it. Other than that is has been a healthy and happy 22 weeks of pregnancy. I will be adding a 22 week picture as soon as I get it taken. :)

2 year old stats

Carson had his 2 year old doctors apt yesterday. Usually its not a big deal, but yesterday was a total bomb. The melt down started when we were called back to the room and Carson had to walk away from the fish tank that was in their waiting room. It just went down hill from there. I’m sure everyone has experienced a bad appointment before, but I know I don’t ever want to experience one again, what a nightmare. Anyways he checked out nice and healthy. He is 37 inches tall (94%) and weighs 35 lbs (92%), so overall he is a big growing 2 year old.

Thing he is currently doing and loving:
* Loves trucks/tractors with hitches
* Is so good at shooting baskets. He makes at least 1/5 standing a few feet back
* Love all things that are motorized or battery powered
* Loves rough housing with his Daddy
* Loves going to the park
* Loves using scissors and painting
* Uses many word to tell what he wants/needs
* Is a total hands on child
* Is potty trained (YAY)
* Naps for a good 3 hours cause he doesn’t slow down even for a second during the day
* Sleeps for about 10 hours a night.

Happy Halloween

Hope everyone has a happy and safe Halloween. We are planning on going trick or treating this evening after Brison gets off work. Carson should be nice and toasty in his little lion outfit.

Big Boys Birthday

The past 2 years have been amazing for Brison and I. We could not have imagined how much joy one little child could bring to our lives. We love Carson so much and are so blessed to have him as our son. He is such a health and active boy. Carson loves tractors, so that is exactly what he got for his birthday. A day full of lots and lots of tractors. Thank you to all who were able to join us in celebration of Carson's birthday. He has his 2 year apt. on the 11th of Nov., so I will post his stats then.

The Surprise

This past week had to have been the most difficult week for me to keep a secret. Luckly we had the joy of sharing our news with our family who lives out of state and would not be able to join us for our surprise. Our local family and friends joined us at the pumkin patch on Friday for Carson's birthday. Going to the pumpkin patch is going to be a yearly tradition for his birthday, however this time there was a little extra added to it. I had told them at the begining that there was a pumpkin out there with a message on it and it was their job to go and find the pumpkin. After about 20 minutes of looking, Ahsley was the lucky finder. Following the pumkpin patch was an wonderful evening of chili, compliments of my Papa, and pumpkin carving. Enjoy.

We are having a GIRL

Brison, Carson and I went to my 18 week appointment this past Monday the 19th where we found out we were going to be adding a little girl to our family. We could not be any happier with the result. She is measuring a bit bigger than where I am, but everything looks great as far as heart, bones, head, fingers and toes.

Colorful Sunday on the Mesa

We had a wonderful trip over the mesa. The colors were just beautiful. I would have to say though that by the time we got to the end of Landsend road, I wasnt feeling so hot. Coming down the mountain was a little to switch back for being pregnant. We came across a pretty cool little cabin that looked like it had been abandoned for years.

Beautiful colors
